Rising Tide and MACoM announce a creative arts and writing competition for Jewish middle– and high–school students in the Atlanta area.
Students are invited to respond to the following prompt: Which Jewish ritual means a lot to you? Why? How? Where? When?
Participants may use any form of creative expression: essay, poem, short story, graphic story, song, video, dramatic scene, drawing, painting, multi-media, etc. Winners will receive a $100 prize and an immersion gift certificate. Their work will also be featured at a festive celebration on November 11, 2019 when we will honor New York Times bestselling author Anita Diamant for her contributions to Jewish life as a writer, leader of the open mikveh movement, and advocate for the arts.
The celebration will take place at Congregation B’Nai Torah, as part of Rising Tide’s three-day international mikveh gathering. Click here to learn more and register for the celebration.
Submission Deadline: October 20
Winners Notified: November 4
Everyone who submits is invited to attend the celebration on November 11.
