Rising Tide is proud to partner with Ritualwell for a new online workshop:
Into the Depths: Exploring Ritual Immersion in the Mikveh
Thursdays, Feb 6, 13, 27, 2:30–3:30pm ET
$108 for all sessions live or on-demand
Mystery and misunderstandings surround the mikveh (Jewish ritual bath) in some circles, but progressive Jewish communities are reclaiming this sacred space and act as a simple ritual of transition. Join Naomi Malka, Director of the Adas Israel Community Mikvah in Washington, DC, for a deep dive into the who, what, where, why, when, and most importantly for the mikveh-curious, the how! How is ritual immersion relevant in post-modern life? How do we invite creativity into a traditional practice? How does embodied ritual tap into a deeper wisdom than other modes of connection? How can you try this core Jewish practice without access to an actual mikeh? This three-part series will feature conversations with members of the Rising Tide Open Waters Mikveh Network, text study, videos and opportunities for creative expression and workshopping a ritual. This learning opportunity is open to all, whether you’re thinking about creating your own mikveh ritual or leading others in this sacred ritual, or just want to find out more about what the mikveh has to offer.
